This is where I should tell you all about me. Well NOT. Just the windsurf-stuff will do. I have been windsurfing since 1980. Started like most of us on a huge, long and heavy board made of plastic. Most of the time I was just a "fun" surfer and was content to sail around a bit. Untill 2004 came along and speedsurfing started to become popular again. I was hooked and in a big way. Quickly applied for an official racenumber with the ISA and went out to race all the ISA Grand Prix Speed races for 2005.

In the Namibian GP I even became 7th in the productionboard class and 33th overall. Not bad for an amateur. In this event we even sailed one day on the nautical mile and I made 54th place with a speed of 29.44 knots. Which is now the official Dutch record for men.
